  • 90 g melted butter
  • 100 g firmly packed brown sugar

  • 60 g almond flour

  • 125g butter
  • 60 g honey
  • 210 g slivered almonds

Method

  • STEP 1 Preheat oven to 170 ° C.
  • STEP 2 Mix all the basic ingredients in a small bowl until well mixed.
  • STEP 3 Place in a greased 20 cm x 30 cm slice pan.
  • Step 4 Bake for about 12 minutes until golden.
  • STEP 5 Leave to cool.
  • STEP 6 On top: Put the honey and butter in a saucepan and stir until the butter is completely melted.
  • STEP 7 simmer, uncovered, for 3 minutes until the mixture is a light caramel color and then add the flaked almonds.
  • STEP 8 Spread hot topping evenly over cooled base and bake at 170 ° C for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
